Southbridge is a new community bordering the historic town of Dumfries, Virginia's oldest incorporated town) which is part of Prince William County, VA. The community is policed by the Prince William County Police Department, and taxes are paid to the County. Within Prince William County (PWC), Southbridge falls under the Dumfries District of Supervisor Maureen Caddigan. Southbridge is a Legend Properties community in Prince William County, Virginia, just 25 miles south of Washington, D.C. It is in the process of being sold to KSI Services, Inc. It graces the Cherry Hill Peninsula along the scenic Potomac River. It has 4,000 homes planned, half of them single-family detached homes.
