  • - Second Annual Community Care Challenge

Lorton, Virginia (Date) — New Hope Church is putting their faith into action by conducting their second annual Community Care Challenge, practicing purposeful acts of kindness throughout the South County community.  Last year, over 150 volunteers of all ages spent their Saturday working in the community doing everything from removing yard debris to scraping gum off the sidewalks.  This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 8th. The goal is to have 300 volunteers participating

The church is currently looking for locations and opportunities to serve on September 8th. If you have a specific need or know someone who does, please email the church office at info@newhope.org or call 703.971.4673.

“We care a lot about our growing Lorton community and are looking for ways to partner with others to make a positive and lasting contribution,” says New Hope’s Pastor, Rusty Coram.

New Hope Church is currently meeting at South County Secondary School.  They are in the process of constructing a permanent facility on Ox Road, just north of the Shoppes of Lorton Valley.  When completed in 2008, they facility will have a preschool, auditorium, and education space, as well as resources to provide before school and after school care.
