- Second Annual Community
Care Challenge
Lorton, Virginia (Date) —
New Hope
Church is putting their faith into action by conducting their second annual
Community Care Challenge, practicing purposeful acts of kindness
throughout the South County community. Last year, over 150 volunteers of
all ages spent their Saturday working in the community doing everything from
removing yard debris to scraping gum off the sidewalks. This year’s event
will take place on Saturday, September 8th. The goal
is to have 300 volunteers participating
The
church is currently looking for locations and opportunities to serve on
September 8th. If you have a specific need or know someone who

“We care
a lot about our growing Lorton community and are looking for ways to partner
with others to make a positive and lasting contribution,”
says New Hope’s Pastor, Rusty Coram.
New Hope Church is currently
meeting at South County Secondary School. They are in the process of
constructing a permanent facility on Ox Road, just north of the Shoppes of
Lorton Valley. When completed in 2008, they facility will have a preschool,
auditorium, and education space, as well as resources to provide before
school and after school care.
